Polymath Foundation (“we”) operates polymath.foundation. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This policy describes how we handle personal data when you use our website or contact us.

When you contact us by email or through the site, we may receive your name, email address, and the content of your message. Our website is static and does not use forms that submit to us directly; if you use a mailto link, your email client sends the message and we receive whatever you include.

When you use interactive features such as our gallery, we or our service providers may process technical and session data — for example, browser type, IP address, access logs, session preferences stored locally in your browser, and, where available, anonymous display names or connection metadata for realtime features.

Our hosting or infrastructure may collect technical data such as IP address, browser type, and access logs. We do not use cookies for tracking or advertising.

How we use data

We use contact data only to respond to inquiries, manage volunteering or partnership requests, and for other legitimate foundation purposes. We do not sell or rent your data to third parties.

Service providers

We use service providers that process personal data on our instructions, such as hosting, email, infrastructure, analytics, payment verification, and realtime gallery services. They may access personal data only to perform services for us and must protect it appropriately. We may update the categories of service providers we use from time to time. Donations and matching gifts

When you donate to Polymath Foundation, we may receive information from you or from payment records — such as your name, email address (if you contact us), donation amount, date, currency, and transaction reference.

We may share limited donation information with third-party matching donors, foundations, or corporate matching programs solely to verify eligible donations and receive matching funds (for example, on a one-for-one basis). This may include your name, donation amount, date, currency, payment method, and transaction reference. We share only what is reasonably necessary for verification and require matching partners to use the information only for verification and related compliance, not for their own marketing.

Our legal basis for this processing is your consent when you donate after agreeing to our Terms of Use and Privacy Policy, and our legitimate interest in securing matched funding for our programs. You may object to sharing or withdraw consent by contacting us at info@polymath.kids before we disclose your information to a matching partner.

Donor recognition

Unless you ask us to keep your donation anonymous, we may use your name to thank donors in reports, on our website, in social media, or in materials shared with partners. To request anonymity, contact us at info@polymath.kids. This is separate from sharing donation details with matching partners for verification.

Children’s data and gallery content

Our programs serve children, but the site is not intended for children to use independently without parental or guardian involvement. We do not knowingly collect personal data directly from children through the site.

Artwork and images in our gallery are published with appropriate consent from children and/or their parents or guardians. If you are a parent or guardian and believe we hold information about a child that should be corrected or removed, contact us at info@polymath.kids.

Retention

We keep personal data only as long as needed for the purpose or as required by law. For example, donation records may be kept for accounting, audit, and legal compliance; contact inquiries for a reasonable period after they are resolved; and technical or session logs for a limited period unless a longer period is needed for security or legal reasons.

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect personal data from unauthorized access, loss, misuse, or disclosure. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
